PRICING + PAYMENT
You’ve probably heard that custom projects are pricey, and, well, it’s not not true. But, you get what you pay for — and here, you pay for years of learning and experience, an organized project management approach, quality materials, attention to detail, and results that are unique to you (on my most confident days I’d say those results are perfection, but I’ve got some residual Catholic guilt that says nobody and nothing is perfect, nice try, girl).
pricing
Custom work means custom prices — so no set-in-stone price list — but here are a few markers for common projects to help you gauge what we’re talking:
custom invitations
Custom invitations start at $5,000.00 for 100 suites. I love to get creative with shapes, colors, printing methods, and assembly, and spot calligraphy and simple illustration or pattern work are included.
envelope addressing
Hand-written envelope addressing begins at $5.00/envelope for guests’ mailing addresses; there is a minimum $250.00 order. This addressing service goes down to $4.00/envelope (with no minimum quantity) if you are also getting custom invitations!
day-of design
Most clients are ordering a whole suite of day-of pieces — some assortment of programs, welcome sign, seating chart or escort cards, table numbers, place cards, dinner menus, bar menus, favor tags, cards and gifts sign, guestbook sign, etc. — and the average client is spending $3,850.00 with me on day-of pieces for a 100-person wedding.
I offer two projects a la carte:
Mirror signage — seating chart mirrors start at $500.00 for 100 guests
Calligraphy/hand-lettering projects (e.g., spot calligraphy, escort cards, or place cards) — which have a minimum of $250.00

payment
A signed contract and 50% deposit is required to start work, and the remaining balance is due before the final pieces are shipped, mailed, or handed over directly to you. Cash, check, Venmo, and credit card are all accepted.
This feels like the right place to mention that I maintain the rights to all commissioned calligraphy and design work unless agreed upon in writing.

Curious about what it’s like to get custom design work done? Unless you say it’s fully artist’s choice, working together is often a back-and-forth process that takes a few months to complete. For example:
process
01. INTRO
We hop on a call and discuss details of the design process and an overview of your vision, along with some of your event’s logistics: What look and feel are you going for? And, what pieces do you want created? What’s your budget? The more information we can establish up front, the quicker we can get cookin’. P.S.: Sharing Pinterest boards is a great help for getting the creative gears turning!
02. PAPERWORK
You might say this is the part of the process where I’m just a girl, standing in front a client, asking you to love this partnership and give the official go-ahead. Or, to not mis-quote Julia Roberts: I come to you with a mini idea board and initial quote based on our intro conversation; you provide feedback, and once we’re on the same page, a signed contract and initial payment. I’ll then provide an official project timeline.
03. KICK-OFF
The fun call (or Zoom, whatever you prefer)! We’ll double-check the list of pieces you want and cover some more logistical details about your day that you’ve probably firmed up by now, and then we get talking you and your aesthetics. Your meet-cute, your day-to-day, color, type, printing methods, motifs, all your faves and all the things you can’t stand — I’ll note it all, and if you’re not sure about anything, I’ll talk you through it!
04. DESIGN
You’ll receive 1–2 different concepts from me, illustrating different ideas and noting options for materials, shapes, ornamentation, colors, patterns, and/or the like. You tell me what does or doesn’t work for you, and I refine over three rounds of drafts and revisions.
05. PRODUCTION
Sit back and relax while I make stuff happen! We’re talking procuring supplies, proofing, printing, assembling, addressing, stamping, or whatever else the project entails. Then, you snap back into action to pay your balance, and I ship the assembled pieces to you or drop the goods in the mail to go directly to your guests.

timing
I’ll always do what I can to get a project out in whatever timeframe you’re working with, and to communicate my timing clearly throughout the project. Here are some general guidelines:
Plan to allow 3–5 months from kick-off to delivery for invitations (and remember that they should go out 8–12 weeks prior to your event!). If you’re getting more pieces designed, more time is ideal.
Just a seating chart? Allow a month or two for turn-around. However, note that the mirror rentals I have available book up early!
Envelope addressing will take a few weeks.
Here about an event? Just for kicks, allow me to share some typical timing to keep in mind:
RSVPs Due: At least 1 month before the event, 2 months for destination events
Invitations Mailed: 2–3 months before the event (book me 8–12 months before your wedding)
Save The Date Mailed: 8–10 months before the event (book me a year ahead of your wedding)
