what i do

A signed contract and 50% initial payment is required to start work, and the remaining balance is due before final pieces are shipped, mailed, or handed over directly to you. We accept payment by check, e-transfer, bank payment, and credit card. A 3% surcharge will be added to all credit card payments (this is no greater than our cost of acceptance).

I maintain the rights to all commissioned design and calligraphy work unless agreed upon in writing.

All offerings reflect starting rates and are tailored to each client. Custom work means custom pricing, with all project totals varying depending on scope.

We hop on a call and discuss details of the design process and an overview of your vision, along with some of the event logistics: What look and feel are you going for? What pieces do you want created? What’s the budget? The more information we can establish up front, the quicker we can get cookin’. P.S.: Sharing Pinterest boards is a great help for getting the creative gears turning!

01. Intro

You might say this is the part of the process where I’m just a girl, standing in front a client, asking you to love this partnership and give the official go-ahead. Or, to not mis-quote Julia Roberts: I come to you with a quote based on our intro conversation, and once we’re on the same page, we get a signed contract and initial payment in place. I’ll then provide an official project timeline.

02. Paperwork

The fun call/Zoom: We’ll double-check the list of pieces you want and cover some logistical event details that you’ve probably firmed up by now, and then we get talking you and your aesthetics. Your meet-cute, your day-to-day, color, type, printing methods, motifs, all your faves and all the things you can’t stand — I’ll note it all, and if you’re not sure about anything, I’ll talk you through it!

03. Kick-Off

You’ll receive 1–2 different concepts from me, illustrating different ideas and noting options for materials, shapes, ornamentation, colors, patterns, and/or the like. You tell me what does or doesn’t work for you, and I refine over three rounds of drafts and revisions. This is the meat of the process!

04. Design

Sit back and relax while I make stuff happen! We’re talking procuring supplies, proofing, printing, assembling, addressing, stamping, and whatever else the project entails. Then, you snap back into action to pay your balance, and I ship the assembled pieces to you or drop the goods in the mail to go directly to your guests.

05. Production

working together is an art

process

Just a seating chart? Allow a month or two for turn-around.
However, note that the mirror rentals I have available book up early!

Envelope addressing will take a few weeks.

Book me 10–12 months ahead of your wedding!
